Heart Month

Well the first month of 2010 is behind us & the new "Month of Heart" is upon us.
How are we going to grow this month? I think this should be the theme of the Month "Heart". Lets Lead with our hearts, teach with our hearts, listen with our hearts, feel with our hearts, and most of all take care of our hearts, it might be the only one you will get! We've had a great start to a great year! We have had 7 new associates join our team. I would personally like to Congratulate Tami Miller who sponsored Leon Hebb & Leon who sponsored John Copas, way to go! Tami was leading with her heart the whole time with Leon! She was bound & determined she wanted to help Leon with his constant pain & lack of energy her caring really helped them both.
Erika Roberts another new member who became Platinum Pacesetter! & was #8 one week for top sponsor's & looks like she will be winning the 2 tickets to the Las Vegas private Luncheon in March! Erika who has only been with us for 8 weeks now brought on board her Sister Vanessa Franz who is also a personal trainer, her mom Susan Franz who is doing the shrink a thon with us in Brooklin, her husband Drew Roberts who works at another gym in sales, Tara Gray, is a waitress/mom/wife who has arthritis and needs a change of pace & energy level! and last but not least we welcome Michelle Clermont who is leading the shrink a thon in weight loss & commitment! Michelle is doing the shrink a thon to raise funds for her 13 year old daughter who has been in a wheel chair for the last 5 months & has yet to be diagnosed by any doctors. Michelle has come to the conclusion that alternative medicine is the way to go if she wants any answers and treatments for her daughter! Sanoviv here we come, if anyone would like to sponsor & help support Michelle on her quest for a diagnosis you can sponsor her per pound, per inch or flat rate donation I know that would really help keep her going. You can follow her on her blog at www.gettinghealthywithmichelle.com and on facebook group getting healthy with Michelle. Michelle is so very committed to helping her daughter & can use all the support our loving group can give her! It takes a village & we are a small village with lots of heart.
Our Nova Scotia Division has been making great head way with their Dr Strand 12 week Healthy for Life Program and is holding meetings every Monday night! They are also meeting every week to do training!
Also our very own certified Anne Moore has been very successful in her own weight loss while being on the program, you can follow her on her own blog at www.gettinghealthywithanne.com welcome to the blogging world Anne! Jim better catch up to you if he wants to stay ahead of the curve!
There is another bit of exciting news Our own Collette Larsen will be at the Quebec celebration! Be prepared to be wowed! That's even more reason for going now. Collette will be flying directly from Quebec to Nepal where she will be meeting Zak,Dax, Warner Berger and a few others for their climb to Mount Everest Base Camp! Can you imagine how life changing that trip will be (Erika will be training me just in case!).
Please feel free to visit all of the blogs, and facebook pages & make each other friends on facebook as well watch for a sargan fan page on facebook!
Remember team lead with your heart & everything else will follow.
I send love & encouragement to all & if anyone needs me to help them with anything please don't hesitate to call me or e-mail.
Respectfully yours
Lisa

A Year In Review

A Year In Review Good Bye 2009 Hello 2010

Fall 2008 looked like there was no hope I had packed up USANA as a business, I didn't want to have anything to do with it any more I was resolved to trading hours for dollars Real Estate was the only way for me to make a living. Then out of a very bad situation was born an e-mail a shot in the dark that led to a phone call that changed the course of a lot of peoples lives. That phone call came from Zachary Ross & Collette Larsen. That call/action taught me an invaluable lesson.

My lesson for 2009, which I will take a quote from Collette Larsen herself, "The things that you think keep you down might actually be what helps you soar". Without being so lost, so down we never would have looked for help where we did & that big leap, the shot in the dark. Never give up when there is a problem there is always a solution. That includes with people too, never give up on them. Let them say no just always be there in case they change their mind, leave the door open. It won't always be easy, but it's worth it.

Going to convention last year & getting to meet Zak & Collette was the highlight of my USANA Career . My hope for this year is that our whole team be there together. We will be having a mini preview of what it’s like to be surrounded by our team at Celebration in Quebec at the end of April everyone is welcome, we can share rooms, drive together what ever it takes (Quebec City is very romantic especially for a newly engaged couple!!!).

I have learned so much this year & have so much more to learn, I’m excited about what is ahead of us in 2010! My family & I have many challenges ahead of us, our SARGAN family also has many challenges ahead too. I know that we will be ok, what ever we are faced, with what ever choices we have to make, what ever hardships we have to endure we will be ok, we will make it through stronger then ever!

I encourage everyone to make a “Bucket List” this is the year to Dream & Dream Big. I received an e-mail forwarded by Collette about Warner Berger’s Mount Everest Climb/hike to base camp. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would want to go any were near MT Everest but after reading the e-mail that's all I can think about. I don’t know if I will make it there by May but I’ve added this to my “40th Bucket List” (which is this year!!!!) Erika will have her work cut out for her with this one!!!!

I have a very strong drive to discover personal spirituality within myself. So I can become a better Leader, Person, Mother, Friend, Wife & Team Member. I would like to become more aware. Aware of how I affect people in my life, aware of the world around me, aware of my actions, and most importantly aware that I’m in control of my own life & my USANA Career.

I would like to welcome our newest members to the team;
Erika Roberts is from Brookline Ontario (just west of Toronto). Erika is a personal trainer with a background in Nutrition she and my son Morgan will be working very closely together helping launch the Shrink A Thon in Ontario starting Jan 11th. She's a real go getter & has got a brain for business.

The Newly engaged (Congratulations) Derek Travers & Ashleigh Larsen from Prince George BC. Derek has trained as a Chef with a background in Nutrition. Ashleigh works, as a mail carrier, which means she walks a lot almost everyday & I’m sure will have a huge use for Procosa! Their dream is to run an Organic Hobby farm & enjoy more time together. Derek was the first on our team to finish the e-apprentice training within his first few days of joining. This is a must for all such a fantastic training tool, it’s found under tools section under ebds e-apprentice. Derek was first introduced to USANA through the book by Robert Allen “Cash in a Flash” (great prospecting tool & a must read). Derek 2010 will be your year you will have even more time to work on your USANA business & make your life recession proof remember the theme what you think is keeping you down could be what helps you soar like an Eagle!

Kelly & JB from Windsor, NS after 2 years of Tami’s USANA talks Kelly decided the timing was right for her & her new husband JB to join the company any after Kelly’s personal success with the USANA products.

I would like to make special mention about what has been going on with the Nova Scotia Division of SARGAN. Jim & Anne Moore, Diane & Tami Miller & Heather Horn have been meeting once a week every Wednesday almost with out fail to either do a Health & Freedom Presentation or training meetings. They are getting prepared for their Healthy for Life Kick off Jan 4th 2010.
Jim & Anne Moore have worked very hard in preparing, training & getting certified with Dr. Strand.
Jim gave us all especially Anne a huge scare this fall by having a heart attack. Since then they both have had a change in their attitude towards life & how valuable it is to them. Jim has a new mission in life to help people change their lifestyles to avoid the same fate he went through. Anne did the Reset program followed by the Healthy for life program & lost a significant amount of weight & continues to loose. She looks great & has a lot to be proud of. In the face of tragedy Anne & Jim both have come out of this stronger people & with a bigger “WHY”. This sounds like our theme the thing that you think is keeping you down might be helping you soar.

I had the pleasure of attending the last meeting in Nova Scotia of the Year. Jim had generously put together a leadership training presentation. The training was so good, professional & I personally learned so much. This is one of the main reasons I’m finally getting to this newsletter that I had been meaning to get to for a few months now. Thanks Jim! Oh & did I mention Jim was the one who had the heart attack in the fall!!! There’s no keeping him down, especially with the help of Anne nursing him back to health.

Our New Brunswick Division headed by Larry & Marion Evans continues to be one of our strongest Preferred Customers base. They have had a lot of success stories with their Preferred Customers & continue to spread Dr. Wentz’s vision of true health! Thank you for your commitment! I would also like to say thank you to your family for keeping us safe & free. Marion’s son Nathaniel is in Afghanistan, if we could all keep Nathaniel Grace in our prayers for a safe & speedy return to his family safe & sound.

Our Western Ontario division headed by Betty Dunn who had never given up her true belief in USANA & their products, let’s make this your year!

Todd Miller (my husband) heads up our tech division & will be working very hard to get our system & website in place any suggestions please send an e-mail to info@sarganinternational.com

In closing I would like to say thank you to all of our team members (family) each one of you brings a special quality to our team. I’m looking forward to welcoming even more members to our team this year. I would like us all to be able to share with each other in an open line of communication, crossline, upline & downline. If everyone is in agreement I would like to make all of our team’s e-mail and or phone numbers available to each other so we can communicate.

I would like this to be the 1st of our monthly newsletters a forum to help keep our team in touch, updated, informed, appreciated & inspired. If this is something everyone would like to see please send me information, stories, accomplishments, events or anything else you would like to see in it.

I know that with the team we have now 2010 will be our Year! Happy New Year to All!

I will see all of you on our Kick off Web call Jan 4th no one can miss this one!!!! I will for sure have to be back in town for this one 7pm MST there will be a surprise guest! & Zak will be one of the host’s can’t miss him!!!
